New York, NY (January 7, 2009) -- INVIDI Technologies today announced Advatar™ enhanced ADS4EBIF™, an EBIF-compatible fully addressable advertising system providing distributors and advertisers with unprecedented flexibility of use. There is no other company that can provide these addressability capabilities. Using the EBIF platform, ADS4EBIF™ will allow operators to deploy the application using a standard interface designed for interactive television. Best of all, the ADS4EBIF™ is based on INVIDI’s industry leading Advatar™ system. Advatar™ was designed with the understanding that no two systems (cable, satellite, telco) are identically configured, and that advertising sales managers will want to implement their own strategies and tactics, Invidi's ADS4EBIF™ is designed to be fully flexible. Distributors using any platform (cable, satellite, telco) will be impressed with the unique degree of flexibility in deploying and managing ADS4EBIF™’s powerful capabilities. Specifically, ADS4EBIF™ allows operators to address advertisements to individual households. Using household characteristics such as income, education and geography, ADS4EBIF™ is able to select and play the right ad to the right household at the right time. Part of the Advatar™ Series of addressable advertising solutions, ADS4EBIF™ provides an entry level platform for operators who need simple household-level targeting without the advanced capabilities inherent in the full Advatar products. ADS4EBIF™ allows targeting flexibility as well, allowing for targeting at multiple levels with virtual geographic zones, segments or even household level targeting. Capabilities such as more granular addressability, support for unaligned ad lengths, real-time assembly of advertisements to be played during a break, and dynamic bandwidth allocation are only included in the full Advatar product. “We have had great success with our Advatar product set. Patents were either developed by Invidi Technologies or acquired to complete the suite necessary to deliver the right commercial asset to the right household or individual. Unlike alternative advanced advertising solutions, ADS4EBIF™ is compatible with all standard ad insertion equipment, requires no special gear in the video network or ad video path, and supports both Motorola and Cisco headend equipment. The use of the EBIF platform makes compatibility with digital set-top boxes transparent. Any DSTB with the EBIF platform becomes a candidate for the Invidi client software. In fact, INVIDI’s DSTB software is designed to occupy a minimal memory footprint, making support of both Cisco and Motorola DSTBs possible down to the most basic set-tops such as the Motorola DCT 2000. Stressing flexibility in all aspects, ADS4EBIF™ integrates directly with operators’ internal systems. Integration with reporting and analytics tools is facilitated by the use of a standard database infrastructure. Support for sales tools and an inventory forecasting system is built into the system. From the marketer’s point of view ADS4EBIF™ is a fully integrated campaign management system providing dynamic campaign tracking, real time modification and optimization, allowing importation of third party databases such as PRIZM, PersonicX and Mosaic for audience segmentation and targeting.
